[IP]OR STF(retrograde)A - ELIR(retrograde) [IPΛE] ('Emporer Stefan and Empress Jelena') Stefan Uroš IV standing facing on the left, holding lily-tipped scepter in his right hand, and Jelena standing facing on the right, holding book lily-tipped scepter in both hands; between them, long patriarchal cross; in left field, Bulgarian countermark. Rev. Christ, nimbate, standing facing within mandorla , raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left; in field to left, IC; in field to right, [XC]. Jovanovic 11-21.1. Clipped flan, otherwise, very fine.
